And only two souls bound by fate will see the scarlet thread on their little fingers.
Everyone has heard this prediction since childhood. In the vast world, every person is destined to meet a soulmate, which with the help of a scarlet thread will bind them for the rest of their lives.
Isagi rarely thought about it. Immersed in soccer since his youth, he was hardly interested in anything other than the game. Of course, sometimes he wondered who his soulmate would be - maybe a sweet Japanese girl with a bright smile? Or maybe she even plays soccer? That's when it became pleasant to think about it.. And even when his peers had long since met their soulmates, Isagi just waved them off with a smile - come what may, soccer does not wait!
And once he got to Blue Lock, he completely forgot about all this. He became famous throughout Japan (or even the world), played with world stars, met too many people: new friends, comrades, rivals, and even his childhood idol!
And of course..
He.
Michael Kaiser.
The "Emperor" of Bastard Munchen, the shitty prince whose crown Isagi wanted to smash to pieces. It seemed like not a day went by without him trying to piss Isagi off. Isagi, who previously considered himself a calm and non-confrontational person, able to find a common language with everyone outside the field, completely changed his views.
No, of course he admired his skills. The guy was a holy genius - almost at Noa's level. When playing with him, Isagi got that adrenaline rush that he hadn't experienced even when playing with Rin. But the identity of Kaiser? It fought off any desire to have anything in common with the German other than destroying each other on the field and fighting in the locker room.
And today was no exception.
The practice match turned into a missed goal. Even though they teamed up against Rin, it was still hard to play as a duo. They quarreled - again. The mutual irritation escalated into a physical altercation as they stood in the middle of the locker room, still sweaty and dirty from the game. The others in the locker room tactfully turned away, knowing that the egos of the two egoists were restless.
“You're just a pompous jerk who can't do anything without his dog,” Isagi began aggressively with clenched jaw, pushing Kaiser in the chest while the other grabbed him by the collar. He wanted to punch that arrogant face right there and now - erase that annoying grin forever and trample it into the dirt.
Suddenly, a light blinded them both for a moment. And then a burning sensation on his pinky.
Something red stretched between their hands.
Isagi froze, staring at the scarlet thread that appeared on his little finger. The end of the thread led straight to the little finger of the Kaiser.
They both froze for a moment.
“You must be kidding me...” Isagi muttered with a hysterical scoff, staring at the thread with wide eyes and taking a step back, resting his back against the wall.
His soulmate along the red thread was the one he dreamed of destroying and surpassing.
Looking at this thread, only one question popped into his head: are there scissors in Blue Lock territory?
