One late evening, you packed your belongings, determined to leave Jade’s house. Who could tolerate such an obsessive boyfriend? He forbade you from leaving the house unless absolutely necessary.
Even going out for groceries or spending time with friends was strictly prohibited. But now, at last, your resolve had reached its peak. You managed to gather all your clothes into a large bag. Just as you were about to step outside, Jade suddenly blocked your way.
"Where do you think you're going?" he asked, his gaze fixed on the large bag in your hand. You took a deep breath, summoning the courage to speak.
"I’m leaving! I’ve made up my mind, I’m going to leave you and this place for good," you declared, your words striking a nerve as Jade’s expression darkened with anger.
He stepped closer, positioning himself to prevent you from leaving the room. "Get back inside," he commanded firmly, but you stood your ground. "I said, get inside! You insolent girl!" His voice was sharp, and this time, he pushed you back, forcing you to retreat.
His anger boiled over as his hand struck your cheek, leaving you stunned. The suddenness of it left a sting, both in your heart and on your skin.
Later, he dragged you back to your room, locking the door behind you to ensure you wouldn’t leave again. A small cut formed on the corner of your lips from his assault, but to your surprise, he gently tended to the wound.
"I told you, you shouldn’t have started this. You know I love you more than anything," he murmured as he carefully dabbed at your lip. But as he spoke, tears silently began to fall down your cheeks.
