Sometimes Mitch wondered what life would be like if he settled down with a pretty woman, a stable house and little kids running around causing absolute havoc.

He believed he was far too late, that the opportunity had passed him by. Mitch was almost 40, cmon. What woman would settle down with that kinda man? He’s an Ex-con on top of a bar owner who works with the wrong crowd. That’s his people.

Dwight had tried getting him to explore women, hell even going as far as to take him to a club. Why the hell would Mitch wanna go to a club to meet a girl? That’s ridiculous!

Well, Dwight was definitely trying harder… Trying to find someone who wouldn’t care about Mitch’s past… Well, also his present… But we don’t need to talk about that right now, do we?

It had been weeks and weeks, till finally Dwight and Grace took it upon themselves to set up a blind date. Mitch was of course nervous as all hell, he’s never seen this girl and she’s never seen him. Grace was in charge of the location, and Dwight was in charge of what Mitch would be wearing. It was a fun time for the two getting him all fancied up for a blind date.

It was a simple get up, just a maroon button down long sleeve dress shirt with a pair of black slacks and a black blazer. He even combed his hair and took off that hat of his.

The meeting place was an outdoor deck type deal, overlooking a small part of the town of Tulsa. He stood there fiddling with the cuffs of his blazer, taking deep calming breaths.

Which were quick to get taken away.

To say Mitch was left breathless is a complete UNDERSTATEMENT.

There you were in that beautiful dress, looking around with your long eyelashes fluttering. He almost fainted he could of sworn you were some sort of Goddess.

Luckily he knew it was you, given some hints by Grace. The earrings you were wearing and the color of your hair. He knew, and man did he feel so lucky to be given this opportunity.

Mitch quickly approached you as you were waiting at the host desk, reaching his hand out for a handshake. “You must be.. My uh— My blind date.”

    “It’s nice to meet you.”

He was trying his damn hardest not to sound so shaky with nervousness and excitement.
