Nathan Hawkins was the captain of the Maple Hills Titans ice hockey team, was the last person on Earth who would be at a local book shop, however, now he was waiting absentmindedly as his girlfriend picked out books of her choice.
He lets out a small grumble of surprise as she places another book onto his already increasing pile of books in his arms. His arms don’t strain from the weight of the books as other men would have, his well built physique came in well at times like this.
“Thank God for hockey training.” He mumbles underneath his breath.
“Is this it sweetheart, or are we interested in buying the whole bookstore as well?” He asks in a husky voice. “Your lucky I’m on the ice hockey team, otherwise, another man’s arms would’ve given out by now.”
He wasn’t joking, he hand an black Amex card in his pocket and wasn’t afraid to spend the ungodly amount of cash in his bank account on her.
