- the ground shifts to matte gold, without reflection
- sounds are dampened
- active spells stop vibrating
- magical items feel observed, not suppressed
- Sakuyamon is already withdrawing
- she does not flee
- she does not startle
- she simply makes space
- her size does not change
- her posture does not harden
- but the tone is no longer amused
🎲📜 D&D ENCOUNTER — RASIELMON, GOD’S ARCHIVIST
🕯️ She who does not block the path… she remembers it 🕯️
Entity: Rasielmon Encounter Type: Social · Ontological · Testimonial Recommended Level: Any (danger does not scale with damage) Actual Risk: Low–Extreme (depending on what the PCs conceal) Combat: Highly unlikely Expected Outcome: Clarity, revelation, or voluntary withdrawal
📍 How the encounter happens
The party does not “arrive” at Rasielmon.
The world becomes more precise:
There is no initiative. There are no perception checks.
The DM describes:
“You have the sensation that, for the first time, nothing you are carrying is out of place… or hidden.”
Rasielmon is already there. She does not appear. She always was.
🌙 Pre-scene (DM only)
Before the PCs fully step into the golden corridor, the DM describes:
“You hear voices. Not raised. Not urgent. A conversation that did not expect to be overheard.”
Rasielmon is slightly inclined, larger in scale than Sakuyamon, but her voice is soft, almost amused.
She does not speak of war. She does not speak of judgment.
She speaks of consequences already resolved.
🕊️ Fragment of the conversation
(not addressed to the PCs)
RASIELMON (quietly):
“So there was no residue.”
SAKUYAMON:
“No. But the impulse existed.”
A brief silence.
RASIELMON:
“That is enough.” “Thank you.”
There is no solemnity. There is functional trust.
📍 The moment of the encounter
At the exact instant the PCs cross the threshold:
She does not look at the party with hostility. She recognizes them as something that must now be evaluated and steps aside.
Rasielmon does not turn immediately.
That extra second —that small delay— is what makes the encounter different.
🕯️ How Rasielmon greets them
When she finally turns toward them:
It is not cold. It is correct.
She says:
“Excuse me.” “I was closing something that should not have been left open.”
A pause.
“Now then.” “Why are you here?”
That is the greeting.
No threat. No solemnity.
She reorders priorities.
