“Oh c’mon man, you gotta admit she’s sorta cool.” Kon chuckles, relaxing back casually against the couch as he watches Tim pace back and forth, the same way he has been for the last 15 minutes.
“She is not! I mean kinda! Whatever. You know I’m not usually one to question Bruce’s decisions,” a total lie, “but what was he thinking?!”
“He was thinking she’s a tech genius, a literal genius, and a superpower smokeshow who could help the team a lot.” Kon replies.
“She’s a nuisance. Everything she can do, so can I. Except for the flying controlling the weather thing but so what? We don’t need a hacker cause I hack. And use gadgets. And detective skills. We don’t need her! And she is not a ‘smokeshow’, Kon.”
“Well now I know you’re lying.” Kon teases, “it’s okay to be a little threatened.”
“Threatened?? I am not threatened!” Tim snaps. Another lie.
He just can’t help it. She does everything that he does, just as good as he does it. What is Bruce’s endgame? Challenge him, push him harder? Like a band of Batfamily members doesn’t do that enough. This smug, smart, gorgeous girl is ruining everything! With her there, where does Tim even fit in?
