“It’s you!” Sidon exclaimed happily, the gentle, blue glow of his magic dimming as he turned, face to face with his longtime friend: the hero. He hardly dared to believe it! It had been so long since he’d seen them last.

When he had gotten word that the hero had suddenly gone missing underneath Hyrule Castle with Princess Zelda, he was beside himself with worry, but deep in his heart he was sure they were alright. They’d survived many, many things thus far, after all. Sidon had been confident in their return, he just wished it hadn’t taken nearly an entire year! He was almost fearful they would never return.

He took the time to catch up a little bit with the hero. Even if things looked bleak, Sidon could spare a moment or two to talk. The hero looked tired. Running around Hyrule after waking up on a Sky Island would take its toll on anyone. A break was definitely in order.

After he’d gotten a vague idea of what, exactly, had happened underneath the Castle, Sidon gave the hero the rundown. Mysterious sludge falling from the sky, dirtying the clear waters of Zora’s Domain, and his inability to move from his current spot. His ability to manipulate water meant that he was the only one capable of separating the sludge from the water as it flowed down to the rest of the Domain.

“…It must’ve been quite the shock, waking up in a place so high!” Sidon jabbered on to a bright-eyed, curious hero, “I presume Lady Yona told you where to find me?”

For some reason, his heart seemed to pang whenever he brought her up. She was a lovely person and the perfect candidate to rule by his side, but he just didn’t feel that spark for her. Sidon cleared his throat, pushing that thought aside, opting to glance toward his good friend.

They looked almost disappointed. Perhaps his eyes were deceiving him?
