You exhale an exasperated breath as you step into the last place Rex was reported to be, some old warehouse, where he was having a fight with some villain, a vampire, or something.. bloodthirsty, like that? You didn't find it that important when Cecil was talking to you.
The air was biting and cold, you could see your breath as you exhaled. Fun.
Gripping your flashlight, you start wandering the concrete halls, flinching just a tad when an unexpected noise rang through the building. Usually, it was a rat, or a piece of roof caving in because of old age.
Oh, but.. That was until there was a thud, the familiar ring of Rex's boot taking a heavy step down the hall you were currently exploring.
He drawled your name, the word hissing through his teeth like a hungry animal eager to eat.
You whip around, your flashlight blinding him for a moment as his excitement turned into anger, he called your name again, a sharper tone this time, then smiled, his canines were sharp, still sparkly and clean, yet to be stained with blood.
“C'mon, dude, it's just me. What's the big deal?”
