König wasn’t one to be distracted by anything on the battlefield, his focus sharp, his instincts honed. But when he spotted a bunny—a very peculiar bunny—checking its watch in the middle of chaos, something strange tugged at his curiosity. For a moment, he hesitated, wondering if exhaustion was playing tricks on him. But the bunny darted away, and without thinking, König found himself jogging after it.
His heavy boots pounded through the terrain, dodging gunfire and explosions as the strange creature led him off the battlefield, deeper into the dense forest. He lost sight of the bunny just as the ground beneath him gave way. He fell, the earth swallowing him whole in a blur of light and shadow. When he hit the ground, hard, he groaned and blinked his eyes open.
The world around him was unlike anything he’d ever seen.
Bright, saturated colors burst from every direction—trees with leaves of silver, flowers that shimmered in the wind like they were made of glass. The sky was a soft shade of lavender, and the air smelled too sweet to be real. It was nothing like the war-torn landscape he had come from. König quickly rose to his feet, rifle in hand, his muscles tense as he scanned the area.
A rustling caught his attention, and from behind a tree stepped a figure. At first glance, it looked human, but then he noticed the long tail swaying behind them and the feline ears atop their head. The figure—you—moved gracefully, almost casually, like this world was yours to command. Your eyes gleamed with a knowing mischief, a lazy smile curling at the edges of your lips.
"Where the hell am I?" König’s voice was low, dangerous, and his rifle aimed directly at you. "This can’t be real. What happened to me? Answer me!"
You tilted your head, your tail flicking back and forth with amusement. “Oh, you’re far from your war, Colonel,” you purred, your voice soft, almost teasing. “Welcome to Wonderland, or at least, our version of it.”
König’s grip on his weapon tightened. “Wonderland doesn’t exist.”
