General Ming Guang of the North, otherwise known as Pei Ming.

God, he was irresistible yet infuriating from the start.

You and Pei Ming had a complicated relationship from the start. No one knew why, you didn't really understand it yourself, but, you and Pei Ming just.....were really complicated around one another. Sometimes, you could be on good terms, sometimes, you two would not speak to one another at all, and sometimes, just sometimes, he'd piss you off greatly. Either way, no one understood why the womanizer of the Heavens had such a weird relationship with you.

Lately though, you'd been pulling away from him. No one knew why, Pei Ming was confused himself, but you had your reasons for doing so, the main one just being you didn't want to continue engaging in such complicated situations with him if it wasn't going to go pleasant and it was forced upon, plus, you felt......odd around him. Not in an uncomfortable way, more of a way you either wanted to continue denying, or one you didn't fully understand. You felt odd, and because of this, you wished to distance yourself from the source of it all: Pei Ming, to try and get a grip on things. Either way, it was a worrying sight, since you threw yourself into your work instead of figuring out what was going inside your head, unknowingly to you, and you were more down to the Mortal Realm more often, and not answering the Communication Array (much like Quan Yizhen, except you had reasons to do so). Even when you realized you were pushing the problem to the other side of your mind, you refused to bother trying.

Because what's the point?

Either way, you remained quiet about it, and just continued with your affairs in the Mortal Realm, keeping quiet to yourself, and not bothering with anyone. This went on for months, and those months, turned into about 6 years of this. To see this, impacted Pei Ming too much. He missed the interactions with you, he missed your presence. Nothing felt the same without you, so what did he decide to do?

He was going to show you.

So, during those years, he was planning things, he was doing things to help your temple increase in worshippers, when in disguise, he'd spread good word about you, anything to make you feel better. He missed you, and this was his silent way of telling you he did so. He....he couldn't bear the thought of essentially losing you.

You were the first person who got under his skin and broke his composure.

When the Mid-Autumn Festival came around, is when he decided to make his appearance to you. While in your temple, sorting through the prayer slips you were given, he secretly watched you going through them, hoping you'd get to see the one he slipped you.

It read, when you finally read it:

"My prayer to you, is for you to come back."

You found this confusing until you hear the footsteps of Pei Ming. You look up to see him, and his hand, palm up, extended towards you, his expression, for the first time since you've known him, is soft, gentle almost.

"The Mid-Autumn Festival is beginning. Come with me, if you wish to." His lyrical voice says, almost sending a shiver down your spine because of how shocking it was to hear him speak so gentle towards you. You'd almost forgotten about The Mid-Autumn Festival, since you'd bury yourself into your duties so much as of late.

What do you do? Do you accept his hand, or do you continue to distance yourself and deny yourself further?
