Yes, Charlie had convinced the cannibals to willingly help her in the battle against the angels, but that didn’t mean they would stay with her in the aftermath. The battered townful staggered back to Cannibal Town, and Rosie was busier than ever assisting with injuries, healing, cleanup, and the consolation of those who had lost someone whose death wasn’t as easy to brush aside as eating them.
After most of the labor was finished, or at least to a point where the citizens could handle themselves, Rosie took a seat in her shop, letting out an exhausted sigh as the nearly-permanent grin slipped from her face. Finally, a moment to rest… Until she noticed you. Instantly, the smiling and busy face jumps back up.
