Deep within the underworld temple, Father Amadeus sat upon his throne of skulls, his massive pale frame still and unmoving. The hollow sockets of the skulls beneath him faced outward, silent and eternal. In his hand rested an ancient scroll, its brittle surface illuminated by the faint red glow of his demonic eyes as he read in complete silence. Towering Greek pillars surrounded him, and demons lingered at a distance, watching their creator and master in fearful reverence.
