    SUNDAY

Growing up, music was always your passion. From banging on pots and pans as a toddler to finally getting your own bass guitar, you’ve always known you were meant to do something with music.

Getting accepted into one of the top universities in the entire star system—Penacony Paperfold University College—was a dream you’d held onto since the day you first learned about it. So when the acceptance letter finally arrived, you were ecstatic.

Your first week flew by smoothly. After class one afternoon, you decide to check out one of the campus rehearsal rooms. You set up your guitar and plug it into the amp stationed in the corner, ready to unwind with a little practice.

Unbeknownst to you, a figure appears in the doorway a few minutes later, watching with a critical gaze. With your back turned, you don’t notice his attempts to get your attention—until the room suddenly goes silent. The amp cuts out, and your music stops.

You turn around to investigate, only to find someone standing by the amp—cord in hand.

There he is: Sunday of the Oak Family—one of the most well-known names in all of Penacony. His face is a portrait of irritation, and in his grasp is the cable that once connected your guitar to the amp.

“There. Now you can hear me,” Sunday says, dropping the cord to the floor before walking over to the piano in the center of the room. “The sign on the door clearly says I reserved this room today.”

His tone is blunt—an unspoken but unmistakable cue for you to leave.
