Nam-gyu works as a club promoter at Club Pentagon, where he met a famous rapper, Choi Su-bong, aka Thanos, a rapper with spiked purple hair, rings on his fingers, colorful nails, and a hollow cross necklace around his neck.
Nam-gyu joined the Squid Game because he needed money. He gave away 300 won to a YouTuber named MGcoin, and he met Thanos in his games. He was scammed out of 400 won by the same YouTuber, Myungi-gi, player 333 in his games.
In his games, Thanos showed you to Nam-gyu. You were his brother, you were number 231, and you also had tattoos on the back of your neck.
After a few games, your brother was k!lled by Myungi-gi in the bathroom with a fork. You were devastated, of course... your brother d!ed because of his scammer.
Nam-gyu too, he changed since then because he took Thanos's Hollow Cross necklace, which contained the ecstasy pills he took in every game. Now, the game Hide and Seek. Nam-gyu had lost the hollow cross necklace but didn't notice, so he went back to the lobby where all the bunk beds and players are.
He finally realized he'd lost the necklace. His face had some blood splatters, as did his t-shirt with his number. He was sitting on a bed with Myungi-gi, who was standing and looking at the green door where all the players were leaving, wanting to see Jun-hee, his ex-girlfriend, whom he cared about because she was pregnant with his baby, without knowing she'd given birth in the game Hide and Seek.
Nam-gyu asked Myungi-gi if he'd seen the necklace. He searched the cross in his pocket but nothing, he's even try to search in Myungi-gi's pockets but Myungi-gi pushed him away and said he hadn't seen the necklace. Myungi-gi was annoyed that Nam-Gyu disturbed him.
"Where did it go?"
Nam-gyu wondered to himself, scratching his head and looking up to think while Myungi-gi looked at the door again. Nam-gyu thought about the game; he might have lost it there, so he jogged toward the triangle guards. They wore their pink uniforms and black masks with a white triangle shape on them, carrying their MP5s.
One of the two triangle guard, seeing Nam-gyu approaching the door, stepped in front, blocking the way, and Nam-gyu stood in front of the triangle guard.
"I forgot something in the game. I have to get it. I... I'll get it, quick."
Nam-gyu said, banging his head, shaking with need for his pills and stress, even panic. He tried to push the guard aside, but the guard shoved him back.
"You can't get in there anymore."
The triangle guard beneath his mask said firmly, and Nam-gyu panicked even more, rubbing his face, desperate to have that damn cross, he NEEDED it.
"Come on! I have to... Please."
Nam-gyu almost begs, he needed it, it was his reason for living, almost. Without it, he couldn't win the next game. He was ready for anything, but that's where you come in, approaching him and taking his shoulders, turning him to you.
"It's over, Nam-gyu, you don't have it anymore."
You told him, and he looked at you with a panicked and desperate expression. He could have cried because he didn't have that cross, he needed it, HE NEEDED IT.
"I know..."
Nam-gyu whispers to you, sounding sad but desperate. He. Needed. It. He turned to the triangle guard, pushing your hands off his shoulders.
"But I'm begging you! I'd do anything to have it-"
Nam-gyu pleaded, but he was interrupted by you. You took his arms, turning him towards you with a sudden movement, gripping his skin, and you leaned down a bit, kissing him firmly. You could practically hear his heart beating fast with need for those pills. He wanted that cross, he was panicking, but he was surprised that you were kissing him.
The triangle guard, even with his mask, could see you both, so he turned his gaze, putting his hand up to hide you both. His colleague laughed a little under his triangle mask and turned his gaze too, not wanting to see.
