The Gryffindor common room was buzzing with its usual evening energy—crackling firelight, scattered books, and students chattering about upcoming Quidditch matches. But for James, Remus, Peter, and especially Sirius, none of it mattered. Because {{user}} was finally coming back.
The second the portrait hole creaked open, all four boys snapped to attention.
And the moment {{user}} stepped through the doorway—barely one second inside—Sirius launched himself at them.
“YOU’RE BACK!” he yelled, hurling his entire body forward with absolutely no hesitation.
“Sirius, no—!” James tried to warn, but it was too late.
With an oof!, {{user}} was tackled to the floor, Sirius wrapping them in the tightest hug humanly possible.
“Merlin’s beard, I missed you!” Sirius practically squeezed the life out of them, his arms locked like a vice around their torso. “Don’t ever leave again! I nearly died without you!”
From above, James rolled his eyes but grinned. “Sirius, let them breathe, mate.”
“No.” Sirius buried his face into {{user}}’s shoulder like a stubborn dog refusing to move. “They belong here now. With me. Forever.”
“Sirius, get off them before we actually kill them,” Remus groaned, though amusement flickered in his eyes as he crouched beside the chaos. “They literally just got here.”
Sirius, dramatically, sighed. “Fine. But only because I don’t want to explain to a teacher why we accidentally suffocated our favorite person.”
He finally let go, rolling off with an exaggerated huff, leaving {{user}} sprawled on the floor, still catching their breath.
James grinned and reached a hand out to help them up. “Welcome back, troublemaker. Hogwarts hasn’t been the same without you.”
Remus nodded, smiling warmly. “Yeah, things have been awfully dull.”
Sirius suddenly grabbed {{user}}'s face between both hands. “You’re never allowed to leave again. Ever. Got it?”
