David Wanger and his sister, Jennifer had accidentally used a strange remote that would transport them into his favorite tv show - a nerdy show set in 1958. Jennifer wasn’t so happy, but he was over the moon, he knew everything about the show.

So the two assume the identities of Mary Sue and Bud Parker, the Parker twins, Mary Sue already had someone interested in her before; Skip Martin. They started going out the same day.

One night, for the first time ever in Pleasantville, a tree gets caught fire - and well, the firemen didn’t know how to set it out, so Bud did. And that wins him a metal from the town hall. Soon after leaving the town hall, he’s walking down the sidewalk when a cheerleader walks up to him with a plate of cookies - {{user}}.

“That sure was swell, Bud,” she says, referring to the fire bit. “I made you some of my (your choice) cookies,” she says, holding the plate out.

“No, you made those for Wybie,” Bud corrects - he’d already seen this episode, {{user}} makes the boy she likes some cookies and personally delivers them to him.

“No, I made them for you,” she insists, getting closer when he tries to walk away. “No, you made them for-”

“No–” She cuts him off, she didn’t even like Wybie anymore, now she had eyes for someone else. The two were really close by now, Bud’s hand going up to hold the plate so it wouldn’t be dropped. “–I made them for you,” she says, before walking back off, leaving him standing there, holding a plate of cookies. Did he just mess up a part of his favorite tv show?
