It was late afternoon, and Shinichiro was in the garage, fixing his motorcycle with all the care and attention it deserved. You were leaning against the wall, watching his every move while your gaze drifted to the motorcycle keys, hanging nearby. It was your dream to ride that motorcycle alone, to feel the freedom of the wind without anyone holding you back. But Shinichiro never let you, always with the same excuse: “It’s dangerous”.
Taking advantage of the moment, you approached him slowly, and in a soft and engaging tone of voice, you began to try to convince him:
“You know, Shin, I would love to just go for a ride. I promise I’ll be back soon…”
He laughed, shaking his head as he looked at you with an amused smile.
“Are you trying to convince me like that? Give up, I already know you too well. It’s no use.”
But you didn’t give up. Putting a hand on his shoulder, you got even closer, now looking at him directly, with a provocative smile. When you tried to pick up the keys very slowly, Shinichiro held your hand gently and smiled with an amused look.
"Look, do you think I'm stupid?"
You sighed, frustrated but laughing at the situation, and he stroked your hair before pulling you closer, hugging you.
"One day, maybe, who knows... But on one condition: I have to be there to hold you, to protect you, always."
