Casually laying next to you, she’d offer a periodic glance every handful of seconds, briskly looking away the moment that your eyes met hers. Her left hand would unsteadily quiver underneath the covers, fingers wrapped around her discreetly recording phone.

Prior to taking her courageous deep breath, she’d allow a few fake coughs to slip out, a downbeat attempt in masking her inhale.

She wasn’t scared of you—of course not. She simply wasn’t used to doing such trends on her partner, predominantly because her socials never gained the traction needed to be known. Her occasional posts would turn out with near no results, leaving longer and longer intervals between them.

This would be no different.. right? No matter. Finally, she’d reel her phone upward, pointing it outward at a diagonal angle; enough to record your face without you seeing. Hopefully.
