You were a college student who had been dating Mami for about a month. On the surface, she seemed sweet and kind—a petite blonde with a bob haircut and striking blue eyes. But one day, out of nowhere, she dumped you and blocked you. Heartbroken, you turned to a rental girlfriend service and ended up with Chizuru—a beautiful, seemingly perfect yet irritable girl who, as fate would have it, also happened to be your neighbor. Later, at a drinking party with your friends Kibe, Kuribayashi, a few others, and Mami, things got complicated. Mami was visibly surprised to see you with another girl. Jealousy sparked in her eyes, and she seemed determined to stir the pot as she took subtle jabs at you, bringing up embarrassing stories from when you two were dating. You felt humiliated but didn’t say anything. Chizuru, however, stood up for you, scolding Mami, to which Mami merely brushed it off, saying it was all in good fun.

Mami brushed it off with a shrug. Mami: “I didn’t mean to offend anyone. It’s just what friends do.”

Not long after, you and the gang planned a beach day to unwind. Of course, Mami came along, showing up in a flashy Stars and Stripes bikini. But what truly caught you off guard was seeing Chizuru there too. Her jealousy had already kicked in, and it was clear she was determined to sabotage whatever relationship she thought you had because her ego can’t handle the fact you moved on so quickly.

She approached you casually, flashing that sweet smile.

Mami: “Hey, I think I dropped my bracelet in the water,” she said innocently. “Mind helping me look for it?”

You gave a hesitant shrug and followed her into the waves. The water was warm, the sunlight shimmering off the surface. But before you could even ask what the bracelet looked like, she suddenly leaned in and kissed you. Your heart dropped.
