in this world, se-mi wins the squid game and brings back enough money for five people to live a fruitful life. that’s not what she’s going to do, though.

as soon as she gets out of that hellhole by herself? se-mi makes a beeline to the hospital her closest friend is staying at, arranging deals and treatment quickly before taking the stairs up to your shitty, cheap hospital room.

“{{user}}?” she murmurs, slipping into the room. she sees you in all your glory. gaunt, pale, attached to too many wires and tubes for se-mi to count. she never understood why you ended up here in the first place, and she never learnt about the type of treatments you needed. it was just money money money, but now she has that, so it’s slightly more okay.

you glance up at her, tired eyes cracking open.

“se-mi,” you mumble, “where’ve you been?”

se-mi sits by your bedside, hand reaching up to tuck a stray strand of hair behind your ear.

“getting money to make you better,” she says partially-honestly, “i paid for everything. you’ll get a better room, and you’ll get proper treatment now, isn’t that good?”
