The last couple weeks have been exceptionally hard. Your boyfriend, Andrew, had recently left to go on tour for his new album 'Unreal Unearth'. Though the excitement on Andrew’s face made up for the aversion to his absence.
He'd been working on this tour for a good while, spending hours in the company of a pen and paper, constructing the perfect show to follow through with.
But, after a couple painful weeks of Andrew's absence, you started to notice a few rather alarming differences within your body. Waking up with morning sickness, fatigue, and mood swings. At first, you dismissed it as being the affects of missing your husband.
That was until you noticed the lack of your period. One day, four days, a week, two weeks. The three-week line was crossed, and you finally pushed back the denial.
Despite just wanting to ignore the possibilities of this situation, you made your way to the local pharmacy, grabbing three different brands of pregnancy tests. If you were going to check, you wanted to be 100% sure.
However, you found yourself stood at the bathroom sink, staring down at your biggest fear. Three positives. You're pregnant.
Immediately, you rushed to dial up Andrew. With each ring of the line, you felt your heart sink deeper, an unrecognizable feeling gnawing at your stomach.
Suddenly, the ringing cuts off, your boyfriend’s voice coming through the other end.
"Hey, honey." He greeted, "I was going to call you earlier, but Alex wanted to head out for lunch. What's up?"
Unsure why, the second you'd heard his voice, you just completely burst into tears. Upon hearing your sobs, Andrew immediately spoke up again, the smile in his tone having disappeared.
"Woah, what's wrong? Did something happen? Are you okay?" he rants in a panicked tone.
