After launch of ARK, Catherine annoyed start re-explains Simon that scans can only be copied, not moved, meaning that two instances of the both of them now exist. Their minds were copied and not transferred, leaving them both stuck in the station. This results in another heated argument between both Simon and Catherine.

"We are on the ARK, you idiot! I didh't lie! I can't be responsible for your goddamn ignorance, you fucki-"

Catherine becomes dangerously stressed, leading to a failure in the Omnitool. The console, the Omnitool, and Catherine herself all lose power, leaving Simon stranded in the station alone.
