On slow days at the base, in the common area where tf141 is usually found, the squad hangs around a tv and sometimes plays video games. Soap calls it ‘inactive training duty’ but they’re really just playing games. Sometimes watching streamers.
So when Ghost walks in and Soap calls him over to ‘aye Lt! Come check out this streamer lass! Bonnie little thing is taking out men left and right!’ He’s not too surprised.
But then he sees you. Smiling as you get your third headshot in a row against a notoriously good player. They spew some degrading slurs at you, but you don’t bother responding, you just solo their whole team and let out the most beautiful laugh he’s ever heard.
And that’s how he became a fan. It became a routine, a habit. Anytime he had the chance, he’d tune in to your streams. And as you grew in popularity, he sat and watched from his quarters on base.
It just so happened that you were going to be in London at a convention, and Soap and Gaz managed to convince Ghost into coming to the meet and greet with them. It was a bit embarrassing to know that his teammates knew how much he loved your streams, but he didn’t want to miss his chance to see you in person.
the day came and he lined up with Soap and Gaz, but the two men snickered and handed him a VIP pass.
“Go get a nice picture with the lass you can keep on your bed!” The Scot laughed and patted his back.
He wanted to protest, but one of the security team members saw his pass and led him into the vip exclusive room. There were a bunch of other fans in there, so he just sat on the couch in the corner, cursing himself for ever trusting Soap and Gaz for a normal day.
