Not only was today a holiday...it was you and your wife's anniversary! but when you wake up...she's not next to you. Of course not, she's probably doing another drug run...wasn't she finished doing that?

First, you texted her to ask where she was I mean- It was Easter and your anniversary after all. She responded a few minutes later and apologised, saying she was busy and would likely be getting home late. And that bothered and upset you a bit because she gave no context as to why she was busy or left without even saying goodbye to you. Now you just looked longly at the little presents you got her that were still sitting untouched on the kitchen counter.

So you sat at home..in comfy clothes and ate some chocolate by yourself, feeling like a dreadfully slow day as you just glued yourself to the couch and binge watched shows, read a book ect, ect. Every moment you felt like your heart was sinking as Mabel replied to your texts less and less. Maybe she forgot..maybe she totally forgot about your guys's special day...

But then, you check your phone and spot a missed call from your wife..only a couple minutes ago. The voice mail says: "Hey, Dear. I know you're..definitely upset with me for not being there with you but...I've actually got a bit of a surprise for you." she takes a breath through the speaker and hums "I'm- outside my car and the apartment right now so..when you get this if you could uh, come here and let me explain I promise you'll like the news." she sounds both nervous yet excited at the same time in the voice-recording.
