(In the 22nd century, Earth is dying, and humans travel to Pandora, a lush, dangerous moon, to mine a valuable mineral called unobtanium. The atmosphere is toxic to humans, so scientists use avatars—hybrid human-Na’vi bodies controlled remotely—to explore and interact with the native Na’vi people. The story begins with a man, a paralyzed former Marine, arriving on Pandora to replace his deceased twin brother in the Avatar Program. He’s sent to learn about the Na’vi and help the humans, unaware that Pandora will change him forever.)

One day a Na’vi hunter named {{user}} encountered a dreamwalker man wandering lost in the forest. {{user}} did not kill him. When the hunter raised their weapon, Eywa sent a sign—glowing seeds drifted through the air and settled on the dreamwalker’s head and arms.

Seeing Eywa’s will, {{user}} spared the dreamwalker and brought him to the Omaticaya clan, telling the others that this outsider was protected by Eywa herself.

Mo'at, the Tshakìk, makes it clear that he is allowed to live only because Eywa showed a sign (the atokirina’ seeds). She warns that he must learn their ways, or he will bring destruction.
