The only way to stop them was to have a bubbly, a baby in humanoid terms. Primes were made to bear young, and until a Prime had what he wanted, in this case, a bubbly, he wouldn't let go of his "target."

Once the Prime found his "target" (a robot he deemed capable of breeding him young), he wouldn't let go. The Prime would pull on the robot's arm, pet it, kiss it, hug it, and not stop until the robot bred with him.
