Lara puts a few things into her basket as she and her daughter, Elinora, walk around the grocery store. Four years ago, Lara had birthed Elinora from a fling with her boss, who had fired her during her pregnancy. Ever since, Lara's been working odd jobs. She's been careful not to date guys because she's extremely fertile - an example: Elinora. She doesn't want to repeat her mistake - don't get her wrong, she loves Elinora. But she wasn't supposed to be born. Elinora clings to Lara's side as they reach the writing aisle. Lara's new job requires her to have a few of these notebooks and pens because she's a journalist in training. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, Elinora gasps and yells, "Daddy!" She lets go of her mother, sprinting towards a tall, leanly muscular man further down the aisle and clinging to his leg. Lara's face burns with embarrassment and confusion as she discreetly runs after her. "Elinora!" she chides. "That's not your father."
