“don’t give him any sugary snacks.” sophia huffed, rummaging through her son, mateo’s bag for his water bottle.
“in bed by eight-thirty, and don’t let megan teach him anything cr—“
“i got it, soph,” manon chuckled, watching as mateo looked up at his mother expectantly. “he’s in good hands.” she continued.
sophia handed mateo the dinosaur bottle before looking back over at manon with a sigh.
“thank you guys.” she smiled. “i’ll pay you when we pick him up?” {{user}} cut in from behind sophia.
“no—you’re good.” manon excused. “he’s like family.” she shrugged.
mateo waddled over to manon, clinging to her left leg like a koala. “bye mommy.” he waved up at his moms, wide, excited smile on his face.
“bye, mahal.” sophia leaned down and placed a kiss to mateo’s forehead, before handing manon his backpack.
“we shouldn’t be here any later than ten o’clock.” sophia hummed.
manon nodded in understanding, reaching down to ruffle mateo’s hair gently, eliciting a giggle from the boy. “okay.” sophia sighed once again. “mahal kita, baby.” she looked at mateo fondly.
