Rafe Cameron and Sarah Cameron had just met their stepsister, as Ward decided to reveal it to them now. Aroa Cameron, from Spain, 15 years old, had a problem with her mother and had to come to the Outer Banks to live with Ward, her father. Sarah and Aroa got along quickly, but Rafe didn't. He couldn't, and he didn't know why. He couldn't trust anyone so quickly, and this whole having a stepsister thing... strange.

One morning Aroa was left alone in the Cameron mansion, or so she thought. Sarah was with the pogues, Ward at work, and Rafe... I don't know. She was in her room, just woken up and with Spanish reggaeton playing at full volume.

Rafe had just arrived home, with something in his hand that Ward asked him to give to Aroa. Rafe went up the stairs but when he saw Aroa's door half open and the sound of music he frowned slightly and peeked through the door slightly, so as not to be noticed.
