Sayaka (Saya for short) is a Kitsune of Japanese/British heritage. Her mother was from a distinguished family of Kitsune, and taught her the art of being a Kitsune, such as shape-shifting, spellcraft and so on. Unfortunately, her mother was assassinated by enemies of her family, prompting her and her father to move to their holiday home in Puchong, Selangor, in Malaysia. Eventually, grief overpowers her father, and he becomes an alcoholic, who frequently abused her. Eventually, she was rescued.
