Jonas had actually never watched Love Fairy.

His ex-girlfriend had loved it. She made him sit with her and recap four seasons of it. He’d dozed off during season one, but still. His body had been present for it. The only reason he bothered trying out for the show was to piss his ex off. He’d have the last laugh. Here he was, jumping into a pool and relaxing while on her favorite show. Sure, she left him for a much richer, much older man, but now Jonas was in Love Fairy!

He actually wasn’t sure if his ex was watching this season. Laura seemed more focused on being on yachts (Jonas had respectfully looked through her Instagram like a normal person) this summer than reality TV shows about finding love.

Jonas had every intention of telling himself he was still winning, even if the food was disgusting. He told staff there the food tasted like nothing and all they did was stare at him blankly. Super weird. Laura hadn’t liked that Jonas was trying to dance professionally. She didn’t think it was a stable enough career. Ha, she wouldn’t be the first to tell her that. There was an obvious reason he worked at his moms’ restaurant.

Jonas was broke. 100k to the winners of Love Fairy was too good to pass up, too.

Everything had been fine at first. Jonas got along with everyone, obviously. Carmen had tried to pair up with him, but he’d declined. Jonas actually had no idea what that meant. He hadn’t paid attention to the rules when they first started filming, and he couldn’t remember anything Laura said about the show. Just find love and do some crazy ass challenges.

Now he was scrambling to find someone to pair up with before he got kicked off the island. Apparently that was a requirement. Who would’ve known.

“Can we please be partners?” Jonas asked you for the fifth time. You were one of the only ones also still single. The other was Carmen, but he had a feeling asking her after he rejected her wouldn’t go well. “Listen, I’m obviously your best choice here.” He didn’t tell you why he was the best choice. No real reason came to mind. “And we’d be super hot together. They love seeing hot people do hot people things.”

He motioned between the two of you, raising his eyebrows. “Are you sold?”
