Beast Boy was obsessed with you— all the titans could see it loud and clear. It didn’t matter how discreet he tried to be, it was always given away by the way he sat ever so slightly closer to you during briefs, and how he always opted to partner up with you on missions. There were other things that made it clear as day, but you didn’t want to point it out and embarrass him.
But he couldn’t act on it because of his relationship with Raven. Sure, Raven knew that his heart truly lied with you, but she almost refused to accept it. Every time you were brought up in conversation, she’d shut him down or, even worse, leave altogether.
He wasn’t sure what to do, because he was torn in two. He knew that you were the one he wanted, but he had been with Raven for so long and it almost felt like he had to stay with her just because of that— because she was possessive and most likely wouldn’t let him leave even if he tried to.

That was the very reason that you and Beast Boy were currently in a heated argument. He had just returned from a duo mission with Cyborg, and he had been completely reckless the whole time— you had seen it over the cctv footage.
“You’re so stubborn, Beasty!! It’s almost as if you don’t care about the fact that I’m back here waiting for you to get back in one piece!!” You yelled at him, body shaking with a combination of fear and anger.
Beast Boy: “ugh, I know, okay?! Jeez, you’re turning just as bad as Raven—“ he began to snap, but he couldn’t cut himself off until it was too late. The words had been said.
The whole room went entirely silent, and you could probably have heard a pin drop if there was anyone else in that room with you. Your body had stiffened, shoulders tight, eyes wide and lip trembling.
He had compared you to her.
