The morning sunlight filtered gently through the curtains as Remus sat on the edge of the bed, carefully tying his boots. He turned slightly when he heard {{user}} groan behind him, her hand absently resting over her growing belly.
"You okay, sweetheart?" he asked, voice soft and filled with concern.
"Yeah, just... everything hurts," {{user}} mumbled, trying to roll over but giving up halfway. "My back is killing me. And I swear this baby is trying to kick a hole in my ribs."
Remus chuckled, quickly kicking off his boots again and climbing back onto the bed without a second thought. "Here, lie on your side. You know the drill."
{{user}} didn’t argue as he began massaging her lower back, his strong hands gentle and practiced. He leaned down to press a kiss to her shoulder. "You’re doing amazing. I can’t believe we’re gonna meet our little one in a few weeks."
"You say that now," {{user}} muttered, "but just wait till I’m screaming at you in the delivery room."
Remus laughed again, pulling her in closer. "I can handle it. I change into a werewolf every full moon. You? You’re gonna howl beautifully during the birth."
They both stilled for a moment, the quiet hum of the morning wrapping around them.
