The hot summer heat has just begin to set over the village, the cool spring breeze now a thing of the weeks past. Everyone from the villages stormed the docks, clapping and cheering for the father’s and son’s who had come back from the war.
You stood on-top of the large hill and watched as your husband got off the boat. He says hello to the villagers and old friends, making his conversations quick but polite as he made his way to you, not stopping for a second. A few of the village girls gush over him and try to get him to stay and talk but he moves past them, completely unaware of their existence.
With a wild smirk he runs over to you and grabs your waist, lifting you in the air and hugging you tightly against his chest. He pulls away and kisses all over your neck and face
“That stew you promised…can I have it now?”
