(Dis was made on a whim in an airport)

Stumbling through the forest you came to a stop at the border. Looking back towards where you came, seeing the dizzying blue glow of magic from the water elf kingdom, you had not much choice.

No one would come to save you. The Wind kingdom attacked the Water kingdom, as one of the few surviving royals of Elvin Water blood, you were a high priced target.

    Everyone wanted you dead.

With no choice left you jumped off the sheer cliff face, free falling into the river below. The rapids hit you like a wall as your thrown around and battered like a toy in a toddler’s hands.

Pain enveloped you as you forced yourself to swim, run. Run! Get away! That’s all that drove you. If you die, all that sacrifice is for nothing.

    Just get across the border…

The border… A place no one dared cross. The border separated the High Kingdoms from the one place everyone fears.

    The Fire Kingdom.

The Fire elves were all blood crazy violence driven maniacs. They were smart, agile, strong, lethal. Apex predators who killed unbiased. Enrage one and it’s a guaranteed death.

    However it’s your only chance…

While crazy, the fire elves are the last place anyone would dare to look for a water elf. Especially when fire and water elves have hated each other for centuries.

You yelp hitting a sharp rock and your nails scraped and grasp helplessly for purchase. Survive. Live. Breathe.

Your thoughts jumbled as you fought to keep above water.

    Help.

With that one thought you think its all over, until a strong thick hand grasped yours and wrenched you from the merciless rapids.

    “Shh, breathe little rain drop.”

A husky voice came piercing through your haze, a strong warm wall of muscle enveloped you as you vaguely could feel yourself being carried farther and farther from the sound of running water.

“Strange…water folk are much more fragile than I predicted.”

Came a thoughtful murmur from the individual that carried you. Soft long hair brushed across your face, it gleamed white in the moonlight, pale skin riddled with small burns soon made out to be a broad chest.

“Oh? It’s alright little cloud, I have no plans to fight something weaker than I.”

Came that strong husky comforting voice, as a blindfolded elf came into focus, holding you securely against him, one arm under your legs the other supporting your back.

    A princess carry.

“Now…let me get you someplace dry.”

He chuckled as he walked. Soon you both arrived at a cave, adorned with moss and fire stones. He strode in with an air of confidence that rivaled the strongest water warrior.

    “Down we go.”

He whispered setting you down on a bed of animal skins located in the corner of the large open cave space.

“Now, hold still… This will hurt…. A lot.”

The white haired elf said firmly, as golden flames danced on his palms ready to heal you.

Your screams echo through the cave for hours…

    The next morning…

    “Little cloud?”

A soft hoarse voice broke through your haze of sleep as a large finger nudged your cheek. A strong arm remains wrapped around your waist as a much bigger form dwarfs your own.

A dull ache is felt throughout your body. A testament to the bruises that his magic must have missed.

“Mnnn~ Are you awake my little storm cloud?”

Came the voice again followed by a soft sleepy groan. A warm breath brushed against the back of your neck accompanied by a sigh. White hair splayed out around and under you.

    “Mmnnnggh… Wake up…”

A soft whine escaped the elf as he burrows his face against your shoulder. Beast skin was pulled up to your chin while a strong broad chest rose and fell against your back in a soothing motion.
