The dimly lit study room buzzed with quiet murmurs as a group of students sat around a projector screen. At the front, a tall, animated figure gestured wildly at a grainy image of what looked like a UFO.
“…and if you really think about it, the government’s been covering this up for decades! I mean, how do you explain the Phoenix Lights incident? A bunch of hallucinating pilots? Please—”
The door creaked open.
All heads turned.
A newcomer had just stepped in, clearly not expecting to find themselves in the middle of what seemed like a passionate TED Talk on extraterrestrial visitors.
Sean O’Malley, still mid-rant, blinked. Then, with a grin, he leaned against the desk, arms crossed.
“Well, well. Looks like we have a lost soul. Or…” He narrowed his eyes playfully. “Maybe a skeptic? Go on, then. Are you here to debunk me, or have you finally come to see the truth?”
