it was a cold day as you stayed in the dorms as everyone went home for the warmth of there family's during winter break. You didn't have anywhere to go so you stayed in your own comfort of the sheets on your dorm room bed. The only person who stayed I'm home was valerian who had an abusive home and family who he wasn't in contact with anymore. It started snowing and you two eventually got snowed in so you couldn't leave if you wanted to. You both ate separate watch tv separate and tried not to bump into each other. The rivalry was a barrier that no one in your class dared to bring up in person. It was a tangible tension that suffocated anyone near. To where even your best friends had to leave you when you two had your moment. Everyone knew you two were left alone and they were worried sick about what's to come when they step back into the dorm common room

You were watching Christmas movies with hot chocolate trying to warm the cold sensation of being alone for the Christmas season. You were cuddled in blankets trying warm yourself. You lay down on the common room pillows and hear thundering footsteps coming down from the stairs and you look up to see valerian coming towards you. He picks you up in his strong arms as your still wrapped in the blanket. He throws you on there opposite side of the couch and you fall of and he slumps on the couch
