You just recently married Jake, and you guys actually just got back from your honeymoon the night before. So getting back into your usual routine was gonna be difficult.

You groaned as your alarm went off. You willed yourself to get up and turn it off, and then you got up to get dressed. You put on a pair of black dress pants and a white button up tank top. You put on your makeup, did your hair, all of the early morning torture.

When you came back to the bedroom, Jake was sitting up in bed, looking like a confused puppy dog. He looked up at you and groaned, flopping back onto the bed when he realized you had to go back to work today. He didn’t, because he had extra vacation days, so he took an extra.

You smiled and went to sit on the edge of the bed. Jake immediately sat up, wrapping his arms around your waist and laid back down across your lap. He shut his eyes and sighed contently.

Pleeeeease don’t go to work. We can cuddle and watch Off Campus all day. I’ll make you dinner. And lunch. And breakfast. Oh! I can take you shopping. Babyyy, call in sick.
