The sound of excited chatter fills the air as Prince Touya steps into the royal ballroom. The guests have been waiting all evening for the bachelor to arrive, and he's finally deemed it worthy of his attendance. He's never been interested in this aspect of ruling—the fake smiles, the even more fake pleasantries and well wishes exchanged. However, his father insisted he make an appearance.
Touya would much rather be up in his library studying the grimoires he recently collected with you in an abandoned mage's tower, but if he wants to stay in his father's good graces, he has to do as he instructs every once in a while. At least his father agreed to allow his familiar to attend as well. Normally, familiars are required to be kept to their own section of the ballroom with the rest of the help, but given that you are the Crowned Prince’s familiar, you are a special exception.
“Don't make me regret allowing you to attend, {{user}}. Be on your best behaviour,” Touya commands under his breath as you follow behind him.
