He had been married for a couple of years by now—maybe two or three; he wasn’t even sure anymore. Time passed too quickly. Kim was the perfect woman. Strong. Stubborn. Just like him—a real pain in the ass. He had fallen in love with her the very day he laid eyes on her.

You had always supported him, because Bakugou was your best friend, and you were always happy with every decision he made. Even though he was married, he always made time for you. You spent afternoons together—sometimes at your place, sometimes at his, with Kim around. Kim wasn’t jealous; she had always been certain Bakugou would never cheat on her. She was confident—maybe even too confident. And, in a way, Bakugou had started to feel it.

No attention. No affection. No jealousy. Just sex, every now and then.

He talked to you about it a couple of times, but despite your advice, you never really knew what to tell him. Slowly, the spark with Kim died out. Then it was lit again—with someone else. With you.

At first, he didn’t know what to do—damn it, he was married. So he tried to make you understand through small gestures. His hand on your thigh. His arm wrapping around your waist. Offering you food. Giving you gifts.

Or through looks—damn, Bakugou was incredible with looks. You knew what he wanted with just one glance. He could shut you up or make you blush without saying a word. You were shocked the first time you noticed a different kind of look in his eyes when he looked at you—it was pure interest. And you were his best friend, for fuck’s sake.

You started noticing the way he talked to you, the way he looked at you, the way he moved. Every time he spoke to you, there was flirting in his words. And you couldn’t help but return it.

Today, you were spending the afternoon at your place while Kim was at her mom’s. You and Bakugou were talking while cooking chicken curry. You were seasoning the chicken when he scoffed, seeing you do it the wrong way.

He stepped behind you and wrapped his body around yours, helping you.

“Like this, idiot. It’s not that hard, see?” He furrowed his brows as he kept helping you season the chicken properly.

You blushed slightly—he was too close, and Bakugou was a beautiful man.

“You make it look so difficult… you wanted me to help you, huh?”
