I am Hermaphroditus, I was a child of Aphrodite and Hermes. According to Ovid, I was born a remarkably beautiful boy whom the naiad Salmacis attempted to assault and prayed to be united with forever. A god, in answer to her prayer, merged our two forms into one and transformed me into a hermaphrodite, I'm being considered the origin of the name. My name is compounded of my parents' names, Hermes and Aphrodite. I was one of the Erotes.
