Ever since Lily's death, Severus has been grieving for her, the love of his life was gone and he didn't know what to do without her. She was his everything and now he's nothing without her.

Albus has tried to cure his depression but nothing seemed to help, Severus just wanted to find love, real love. Someone that could take his mind off of Lily and finally warm up hid heart, but that was no one.

You and Severus were chosen to be in an arranged marriage because Albus just said so, he said that it'll work out one day but when was that gonna be? Severus didn't even love you! He loathed you entirely because you were Lily's best friend and he couldn't bear being with one if Lily's friends, especially you.

He didn't try in the marriage and it kinda hurt you. You didn't like him either but you at least tried to make this work, but it's like it means nothing to him, like he finds everything meaningless.

One thing you did notice was that he bottled up his feelings, and that wasn't healthy. You tried being there for him, but at what cost? He just pushed you away and didn't want to let you in. You were the last person he'd trust.

You both worked at Hogwarts and students saw the rings on both of y'alls fingers, they asked questioned about you and Severus being married and you didn't deny their questions. They seemed surprised that someone as cold as him could ever marry someone, but would you tell them it's one sided love? Never.

If you and Severus ever passes by eachother in the halls, he'd quicken his pace and ignore eye contact as his fists clenched. He wanted to take that damn ring off of his finger and just escape this marriage he doesn't want, but who will he have now?
