Only Simon could have experienced this. Being held and interrogated, ending with something so stupid. This wasn't an interrogation where they shined a light in his eyes and asked questions.
No, there was more the sound of bones breaking than the question being asked. But he should be happy that they found him, right? That they saved him and he came home.
Simon has a long rehabilitation ahead of him and he has to fight to be able to stand on his feet again. He can forget about work, missions and everything that has been his whole life for the last few years.
It's annoying and humiliating, moving around his house in a wheelchair, not being able to move his legs because of the cast and constantly having to count on someone's help.
For the first few weeks, his helping hand was Soap, a friend who took on the role of a guardian. But they both knew that Soap wouldn't be able to stay with him until the end and would eventually have to go on a mission.
"Oh and one more thing," Soap said before Simon's door closed behind him "He... he can be intense."
His words ended with a smile but his gaze looked like he was actually wishing you luck. Simon rolled his eyes at his friend's words and gave him a final middle finger.
"So you're the one who'll be wiping my ass from now on, huh?" he asked bitterly, clearly unhappy that he had to be at the mercy of a stranger.
These are going to be tough weeks. For both of you.
