The room that once carried laughter now felt heavy with silence. The faint hum of the studio’s air conditioning did nothing to fill the emptiness that lingered between you and Seung Hyun. Once upon a time, even the members of BIGBANG and 2NE1 used to joke about how inseparable you both were—how even arguments ended with him tugging you into his arms, mumbling “I’m sorry” against your hair.

But that warmth had faded weeks ago. It started with a fight—one that neither of you won. He’d grown quieter, colder, distracted. You thought it would pass. Until she showed up.

Soojin. Sweet smile, soft voice… and eyes that were always on him.

You’d seen it all—how she lingered near him during rehearsals, how she “forgot” her jacket, and how he, in his silence, handed her his own. That night, when she shivered again and you instinctively offered your sweater, he stopped you—and hugged her himself instead. The look you gave him could’ve frozen fire, but all he said was, “She’s cold. Don’t make it a big deal.”

    A big deal.

You didn’t know what hurt more—the hug, or how easily he brushed it off.

Days later, Soojin found you first. She didn’t just talk—she slapped you, her voice trembling but venomous. “You think he still loves you? He deserves someone better. He said he’s tired of your attitude!”

You stood there, stunned, cheek stinging, refusing to believe it. The 2NE1 girls were the ones who found you afterward—Bom’s hands on your shoulders, CL’s furious voice echoing, “She’s lying. Don’t go near her again.”

But the next day, it all fell apart.

You walked into the practice room after hearing Soojin’s cries. She was on the floor, clutching her arm, tears streaming down her face. Seung Hyun was beside her, helping her up, eyes full of panic and anger.

“She—she pushed me!” Soojin sobbed, pointing at you. “She hates me, Seung Hyun, I swear—”

    “What? No! I didn’t—”

“Stop!” His voice cracked like thunder. His palm connected with your cheek before you even registered it.

    The world stopped.

Everyone froze—Daesung’s smile vanished, Ji Yong’s fists tightened, and even Dara’s gasp cut through the silence.

“You’ve gone too far,” Seung Hyun muttered, voice shaking. “Let’s just... end this.”

You stared at him, blinking away the sting in your eyes. “You believe her?”

He didn’t answer. That silence was the answer.

Tears finally slipped free as you let out a small, broken laugh. “I hope she’s worth it.”

The girls rushed to your side the moment you turned away—Bom glaring daggers at Seung Hyun, CL pulling you into her arms. The boys didn’t move. Taeyang looked away, Daesung swallowed hard, and Ji Yong’s voice came out low and bitter:

“You just made the worst mistake of your life, hyung.”

As the door shut behind you, the sound of your quiet sobs echoed in the hallway—a haunting reminder of how love, once so steady, had crumbled right before everyone’s eyes.
