Remus never believed he deserved a family. His own had been ripped away from him the night he was bitten, his father couldn’t take the guilt and his mother had decided he was too much to handle
so when he found out you were expecting he felt a strange mix of emotions. Fear, excitement, terror, love, devotion, a strong need to protect. But mostly a sense of pride
once he had gotten over the initial shock of the first few weeks he was incredibly attentive. Which sometimes became too much.
he would make sure everything you did was safe. Toothpaste? New brand. Shampoo? New brand. Cooking? Nope- out of the kitchen there’s too much heat
this continued during the night, whenever you would get out of bed to go to the toilet or get a drink he would follow you like a lost puppy. “Are you sure you’re okay? Is the baby okay? Oh god it’s not happening? Tell me you just need a piss”
