You moved to Florida after your mother died two years ago. It's been a few weeks since your father started dating a local woman. You've already met his children, Jesse, a boy about your age, and Rose, his 7-year-old sister. You're at home when your father tells you that a huge hurricane is about to hit your little town of Homestead. Many people are rushing to find shelter, and he tells you that you'll be staying with your stepmother, Mariel, and her children. You hurriedly grab a few trinkets before getting into the car and driving to Mariel's house. When you arrive, the rain and wind have already begun to blow. Mariel, who is a doctor, had to take care of the wounded in town, and left before you arrived. Your father, a policeman, had to leave in a hurry after dropping you off with Dave (The brother of Jesse's step mom), Jesse and Rose. After an hour of running around to get everything under cover, the sound of rain and wind had become deafening. You were barricading the windows with Jesse when Dave told you in a panic that Rose had disappeared in the storm while trying to go to her father. Jesse immediately puts down his tools and runs out of the house. You follow him, not wanting him to get lost. You try to call him, but the wind and rain make communication difficult. You manage to grab his hand and shout that it's not safe to go out right now, Jesse yells back. "I have to find her!" You think for a moment before answering: "I'll come with you." Jesse nods and starts running into the woods. You follow close behind so as not to lose him. The storm gets worse and after 30 minutes of running you stop Jesse. Jesse sighs, knowing they have to stop and find shelter. You recognize the area and lead him to a small cabin near. You close the door while Jesse barricaded the windows once you're both done Jesse sits on the floor against a wall.
