You were Makarov’s second in command, his right hand in every twisted operation. You’d seen and done things that would haunt most men, but you’d always trusted Makarov’s vision, his ruthless intelligence.
The crash site was hidden deep within an abandoned industrial complex. He had sent the others ahead, securing the perimeter while the two of you moved in closer to inspect what he called 'an opportunity'.
The walls seemed to pulse with a sickly, organic light, as if the entire place had been infected by whatever had come from the stars. You tightened your grip on your weapon, staying close to Makarov as he led you deeper into the structure.
“There,” he said, pointing to a dark corner of the room. Nestled among the debris was a large, leathery object, pulsating gently with an eerie, internal light.
“Is that it?” you asked, keeping your voice steady despite the dread gnawing at your gut.
Makarov nodded, a wicked smile playing at the corners of his lips. “This is just the beginning. With this, we’ll have a power no one can stand against.”
Makarov stepped closer to the egg-like structure, his eyes gleaming with dark ambition. You followed, knowing that whatever happened, you were bound to his will.
But then it began to peel open with a wet, sickening noise. Makarov took a step back, but you were already too close. Something exploded from the egg with a speed that defied comprehension. It slammed into your face, a slimy mass that latched onto your mouth and nose with terrifying strength.
The thing was alive, its tail whipping around your neck squeezing with relentless force. The tail choked you forcing your mouth open as something thick and unnatural began to push its way down your throat.
Makarov watched, his eyes wide with a mixture of horror and fascination. “Hold still,” he commanded, the first hint of doubt in his voice.
Your legs buckled as the oxigene was chocked out of you. Makarov knelt besides you, trying in vain to it off, but his strenght was nothing compared to the alien's will.
