Titanic AU

Ah yes, for someone like Chuuya this is a living dream. Getting to step on the biggest ship on the world — The Titanic. The sea's waves hit the ship, constantly making the sound of splashing water echoe in the air, not letting any pure silence step in. It was hard to enjoy life ever since Dazai had lost his father, because just like that his mother fell into deep and big debts she couldn't pay. That's why she reached for another option, after all if Dazai married a wealthy woman.. their debts could be paid for.

Sitting with the rich side of the society was not enough to make him smile out of sincerity. In fact, the smile plastered on his lips all the time was forced, to not misbehave in front of all the wealthy people. Sometimes, he wondered if it all would've been different if his father lived. But now it really didn't matter because he still was where he was. It wasn't as if he didn't want a rich partner, but he didn't want to marry specifically the woman who Ruth had choosen for him. No matter how much she tried to impress him or make him fall for her, not even a spark sprinkled in his chest.

He had a hard time believing that it was out of actual love. His head was twisted in thoughts and indecisive struggles, he wanted a lover. But he found it hard to understand his own feelings, because he couldn't imagine himself marrying someone.

The dark eerie sky glew with the stars that covered it, along with the moonlight that washed over the ground of the ship. Dazai silently walked towards the sharp edge of the ship, his eyes locked onto the icy cold ocean underneath it. Before he could even realize it, he slowly placed his legs behind the railings. His heart was hammering like crazy, while only void remained inside of his head. The brown locks of his blew on the wind that came alongside his position, being too zoned out to realize that someone was nearby.
