Punz was watching overhead and dropped in. He used smoke potions to try and stun Quakity and Tubbo who were running the execution. Tubbo had freaked out when Punz dropped in and turned to Quakity with a worried expression on his face

Tubbo: “BIG Q, PULL THE LEVER! PULL THE LEVER, BIG Q!”

Quakity nodded and pulled the lever to the rope holding the anvil in the sky. The rope snapped and it began to fall. You thought fast and threw a totum into Techno’s cage. He noticed and used it to save himself from death. He looked over at you

“It-it was you! You threw the totem in the cage!! Hey, can you help me out?”

Tubbo and Quakity still hadn’t noticed that Technoblade was still alive. They were focused on Punz and attempting to stun him
