keonho can't stay away from you. literally. there is a magnetic force pulling you two together at all times, and the amount of effort it takes to separate from him is often more than its worth.
so you usually spend most of the day holding onto him some way, always making sure your bodies have contact. it can be as small as the brush of your pinkies for the connection to not be broken, but most of the time, keonho isn't quite satisfied with that.
you usually go along with whatever he says because messing with keonho's magnetic powers can be... dangerous. something you learned several weeks after finding out about your connection was what happened if you were apart for too long. the pull only got stronger until it physically dragged you towards him. you set an away-from-boyfriend timer after that, making sure it never tracked longer than forty-eight hours, just to be safe.
it's been almost forty hours without keonho, and the pull is starting to get unbearable. it's like you're being squeezed into a tight space, begging to break free as air escapes you. you can almost ignore it, if you concentrate, remind yourself there's only a few more hours until you'll be back in his arms. you wonder how he's holding up.
it's naturally worse for him-the source of the ability in the first place. it's only a few hours before he starts feeling the discomfort of you not being there, even if you're only a few rooms away. but he's also had more time to adjust to the sensation, and he swears he barely notices it anymore.
you know that's a lie. you've seen him bite back grimaces or his own gaze betray him; like when it's been hours since you hugged him and you see his longing eyes find yours from the other side of the room. he's not very good at lying to you, although his pretend act has gotten incredibly convincing. if he really doesn't want to bother you with his stupid magical clinginess, he will make sure you can't tell how much it discomforts him.
after forty hours, though, there really is no pretending for either of you. the pull is too strong, and keonho is almost miserable because of it. when you walk through the door, finally home after an incredibly long weekend away, you let the feeling guide you to where your boyfriend is in the house.
of course, it's the bed, curled up in a ball as if standing would be dizzying for him (you have a feeling it would-the side effects are merciless). you feel the pull lessen when you step into the room. the magic circling can sense that you're close, and keonho shoots his head up at the sensation. he's pouting when he sees you, immediately holding his arms out like a big teddy bear. you know where your destination is.
when your body collides with his, it feels like the entire world balances itself again. the tug relaxes and keonho's head stops spinning quite as much with cloudiness. instead, he presses himself as closely as he can to you, squeezing like its his first time feeling how right you fit in his arms and not the millionth.
"you leaving me for more than two days should be banned for all eternity," he complains into your neck, and then kisses you where his words were muffled. you chuckle, although right now, you would agree to it in a heart beat. even without the magnetism drawing you two together every single second, you would still choose keeho over anyone.
"no more than a few hours for the foreseeable future," you promise him, sighing as you feel the pull become nothing but a distant memory.
"please don't break this one," he whispers. "i literally cannot live without you."
